Elece Kunangura Mcknight was born and grown up in Zimbabwe. She is the fourth daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Kunangura. Her mother died when Elece was only six year, she spent most her youthful years in tears and prayer. Elece graduated from Chibuwe high school in 1983 in Zimbabwe. Elece had dreamed of becoming a missionary or a minister. In 1984 after many years of searching and contemplating a suicidal attempt, she got involved with the unification movement. In 1989 she got married to an American Robin Mcknight. Now Elece and her husband are still raising their four daugters Justice,Victorian, Cherish, and SuHyun. Elece holds an A.B in creative writing and a master in Theology. Currently Elece is working as a teacher.Elece has written Into the Millennium Poems, Life lessons Poems and Into the Millennium Poems second edition. Rare Glimpses displays the deep insight, spirituality and humor with some seriousness. It takes you beyond today and reality to reflect on the wonder of the Origin and the glory of his Creation. Elece is currently working on her memoir about her life growing up in war-torn Zimbabwe and her struggles to survive as a child of the conflict.

In 1984 after many years of struggle and depression so overwhelming she contemplated suicide, she became involved and committed to the Unification Movement. Elece married American Robin Mcknight in 1989 and now lives with her husband and four daughters, Justice, Victorian, Cherish, and Su-Hyun in Tampa Bay Florida. Elece holds a B.A. In creative writing and a masters in Theology. She currently works as a teacher and has written two books of poetry, Into the Millennium Poems and Life Lessons Poems. She is the author of Rare Glimpses, a collection self-reflective thoughts about her life’s journey. Elece is currently working on her autobiography and the struggles she faced growing up in Zimbabwe. The Author has walked a journey filled with death tears and loneliness, a youth of heartbreak and emotional turmoil, that left her with the hopelessness of adulthood in a war-torn country. Her path taught her the gift of hope and Life Lessons of Love. This book conveys the deep insights of spirituality and humor she used to help her through the seriousness of life around her.

Time has changed, and so as our ways of looking, seeing and doing anything has changed too.

What used to be normal is sometimes no longer normal and what used to be abnormal is no longer either.

Elece Kunangura McKnight was born and grow-up in Zimbabwe. She is the fourth daughter in a family of six. When Elece was six years old, her mother, younger sister and baby brother died in the span of three months. Life had changed for her and her older siblings.For the first time Elece begun to notice her world and the changes taking place. In order to maintain his truck driving job, Elece’s father made the most difficult decision to split his children to be cared for by different family members.

At the age of seven Elece found herself in the countryside with her grandmother heading cows from 6am to 6pm. What follows is a series of chilling stories of her life spent in tears wondering and pondering about life in the bushes alone.

Later in the middle of war in Zimbabwe the family was reunited. In 1983 Elece graduated from Chibuwe high school in 1984 she became a Missionary where she worked in Zimbabwe, Zambia and Swaziland.
